Pretty much everything on Earth has changed, and amid all these changes there’s a group of friends fighting for survival and just trying to keep each other alive.

In this movie the Earth becomes more exposed to the sun’s rays, causing the levels of methane to rise in the atmosphere to a degree not suitable for living organisms. This existential threat puts scientists in a race against time, trying to find a solution to the catastrophe before it’s too late.

Sam Bill (Sam Rockwell) is an astronaut who signed a contract with a company to work on the moon for 3 years, collecting samples. The only way to contact Earth is through a super computer named Gerty (Voiced by Kevin Spacey). The astronaut feels so lonely and starts to see some hallucinations, he also uncovers some nefarious plots by the company that hired him, but he can’t quite trust his own perception. He eventually tries to get back to Earth on his own.

The film is written and directed by Duncan Jones, starring Sam Rockwell, Kevin Spacey and Dominique McElligott.

Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) was assumed dead during a mission to mars after his crew was affected by a storm and had to leave him behind. However, Watney survived and found a way to stay alive on Mars. His colleagues at NASA try their best to bring him back to Earth.

At a time when space travel is available commercially, a spaceship goes on a mission in space to reach a planet far away from Earth that is suitable for humans to live on. The voyage will take 120 years to transport people to “homestead 2”, which is the colony they’re building on the new planet.

There are 5258 passengers on this spaceship, all asleep in hibernation chambers designed to keep them alive until they reach the colony.

One of these chambers malfunction, causing it to open immaturely. Inside, there is a mechanic (Chris Pratt) who finds out he woke up too soon, and that he’s the only person that woke up on the ship. When he realizes he’ll be all alone for 90 years and will probably grow old and die on the ship, he decided to wake up another passenger to share the voyage with him.

The film is written by Jon Spaihts, directed by Morten Tyldum and starring Jennifer Lawrance, Chris Pratt and Michael Sheen.

A Disney movie about Buzz the space ranger who goes on intragalactic missions with his robot cat Sox, he learns to work together with his team to escape from Zurg the villain character which has a big robot army and a dark secret. Like Interstellar, the film has elements of time travel, and Buzz tries to understand his place in the universe.

The film is written and directed by Angus Maclane, and starring Chris Evans, Keke Palmer, Peter Sohn, and Taika Waititi.

Guardians of the Galaxy – 2014

The film’s plot is about a group of criminals with special powers who must work together to stop some warrior trying to control the universe. It’s family-friendly and has plenty of action.

The film is starring Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Zoe Saldana.

WALL.E – 2008

The story line in this movie happens in the future where mankind cannot live on Earth because of the pollution. The Earth is totally covered with trash, and there is a small, self-dependent robot working alone to clean Earth from the trash, his name is WALL.E.

WALL.E spent a long time alone doing his job, and one day he found EVE which is a modern-day robot that came to Earth on a mission to find any signs of life, which is proof that mankind can come back in the future to live on Earth again.

WALL.E falls in love with EVE from the first look, and he rescues her many times from the unfriendly circumstances on Earth. However, she finds a small plant, which completes her mission on Earth and causes her to leave. Wall. E follows Eve on a journey across space and visits the colony where humans currently live. Humans live in a controlled environment, with robots catering to their every need, and they even lost the ability to walk! Eventually, they end up going back to Earth.
